Sealed bids are invited for the construction of a new bridge on Glover Road (CR 1116) located 1.171 mile south of KY 90 (MP 1.171) over Falling Timber Creek in Barren County, Kentucky.Bids will be received until 3:30 p.m., central time, on the 8th day of July, 2016, in the Office of the Barren County Judge/ Executive, Barren County Government Center, 117 North Public Square, Suite 3A, Glasgow, Kentucky 42141. 270-651-3338.The project shall be constructed to a level which meets applicable county road and bridge standards. All bridges will be required to meet or exceed an H-20 loading, and all materials paid for by the Department use on, or incorporated into, the Project shall meet the requirements specified in the Highway Department’s Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, current edition of State Specifications. Only those bids from contractors pre-qualified by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will be considered. The owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids.
