LEGAL NOTICE PUBLIC NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the Housing Authority of Glasgow has prepared their Annual Plan for the period beginning January 1, 2017. The Plan and all related documents will be available for public inspection and comment August 26, 2016 thru October 12, 2016. Interested parties may see the draft plan at the main office at 111 Bunche Avenue, Glasgow, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:00 a.m. until noon on Wednesday. For further information, please call the Housing Authority at 270-651-3859. Notice is also given that a public hearing on the Annual Plan will be held 10:00 a.m. until noon, October 12, 2016 at the address above. LEGAL NOTICE CITY OF CAVE CITY KENTUCKY ORDINANCE #16-08-08A AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE PROPERTY TAX RATE FOR 2016 REAL AND TANGIBLE PERSONAL PROPERTY Be it ordained by the CITY OF CAVE CITY, KY: SECTION I: An ad valorem tax of 15.4 cents per One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of assessed valuation is hereby levied on all real property and intangible personal property having a taxing situs in Cave City, KY as of January 1, 2016 SECTION II: An ad valorem tax rate 12.65 cents per One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of assessed value is hereby levied on all tangible personal property having a taxable situs in Cave City, KY as of January 1, 2016 SECTION III: Tax bills combined with the county tax bills shall be prepared and mailed to each taxpayer showing the amount of assessment, tax rate, and the total amount of taxes due, with calculations for discounts and penalties. SECTION IV: Taxes, except for motor vehicle taxes, shall be paid to the office of the Sheriff of Barren Coun- ty, KY. SECTION V: Taxes on motor vehicles shall be paid to the office of Barren County Court Clerk when billed. LEGAL NOTICE CITY OF CAVE CITY KENTUCKY ORDINANCE #16-08-08B AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING AND LEVYING A PROPERTY TAX ON MOTOR VEHICLES AND BOATS HAVING A SITUS IN THE CITY OF CAVE CITY, KY. FOR 2017 Be it ordained by the CITY OF CAVE CITY, Kentucky: SECTION I: There is hereby levied an ad valorem tax of 17.87 cents per One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of the assessed valuation of motor vehicle and boats having a situs in the CITY OF CAVE CITY, KY., as of the first day of January 2017 and for each year thereafter as listed in the tax Assessment Ledger compiled by the Property Valuation Administrator of Barren County. SECTION II: All monies collected from the tax levied in this Ordinance shall be paid into the general fund of the CITY OF CAVE CITY to be used for the payment of proper expenditures as determined by the City Council of the CITY OF CAVE CITY, KY. SECTION III: In accordance with KRS 132.487 and KRS 134.800 to 134.820 and such other applicable statutes, the aforesaid tax shall be assessed under a centralized tax system, and collected by the Clerk of Barren County. It is further provided that for the collec-tion of this tax on behalf of the CITY OF CAVE CITY, the clerk of the county shall be paid four percent (4%) of monies collected on vehicle taxes. Payment to the City by the Clerk shall be governed by KRS 134.815 and other applicable statutes. SECTION IV: If any part of this Ordinance shall be declared invalid, such shall not affect the remainder of the ordinance. All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
